(Record – VietKings) Hon Khoi is located in Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province, about 45km north of Nha Trang city. The salt fields here are hundreds of hectares wide, one of the largest salt fields in Vietnam.

Hon Khoi (in Ninh Hai ward, Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa) is considered an attractive tourist destination with pure white salt fields, creating a unique beauty for this coastal land.

You can visit the salt fields here from December to April every year. At different times of the day, you can feel the beauty of the salt fields from different angles. Each mound of salt emerging in the white space is a source of photography inspiration for romantic tourists. You will be amazed by a beautiful sunrise rising in the sunlight, below are undulating salt fields, looking from afar like small mountain peaks covered with a smooth layer of white snow. In the afternoon, when the sunset begins to fall, the scenery becomes even more charming.

At certain times of the day, when the salt fields are submerged in seawater, they act as a giant natural mirror, reflecting the natural egg-colored or purple-pink sunset on the ground. Visitors will no longer be able to distinguish between land and sky. The gentle rays of the late afternoon sun rippling on the water will make you feel peaceful amidst this bustling modern life.

When the salt fields have gradually dried up and become natural “salt mountains”, the sunset takes on a different look on the salt fields. Looking from a low angle, the image of the sun appears and disappears among these miniature “salt mountains”, sometimes clearly visible, sometimes hidden behind the mountain ranges. The whole space is a peaceful beauty that helps visitors enjoy moments of relaxation, immersing themselves in nature. Coming to Hon Khoi in the salt season, we can also feel the smell of sea salt at dawn, the feeling of cold underfoot when walking barefoot on the strange salt fields. The salt workers carry on their shoulders the “gift of the sea”, their graceful steps reflected on the salt fields. The salt making season usually begins in March of the solar calendar and ends in September. Coming here, visitors can learn more about the salt production process in Ninh Hoa. All stages of salt production are done manually, without the support of machines, so it is difficult for salt workers to stick with the profession. In recent years, tourists have come to Hon Khoi salt village. Although there are not many tourist facilities, simple forms of tourism services have appeared. Coming here, visitors will have the opportunity to relax on beautiful beaches, and experience the lives of people in the sea and salt villages.

If you have the opportunity to come to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa, do not miss a visit to Hon Khoi, to feel the fresh air of the sea, the long white sand beaches, and immerse yourself in nature…
